Viareggio Carnival 2025 PROGRAM and TIMETABLE

The events of the Great Masked Parades on the seaside avenues of Viareggio.

1st Opening Masked Parade Saturday 08 February 2025 – 5 pm; At the end, a pyromusical show
The 2025 Carnival is inaugurated. The traditional triple cannon shot starts the first parade of allegorical floats, extraordinary works by the artists of Viareggio. The parade is preceded by the Inauguration Ceremony which culminates in the long-awaited moment of the flag-raising. At the end of the parade of floats which continues until the evening lights, the first fireworks display is scheduled to open the month of Carnival.
- 3 pm Cristina D’Avena in concert – Piazza Mazzini
- 4:30 pm Inauguration ceremony and flag-raising ceremony – Piazza Mazzini
- 5 pm Start of the Opening Night Masquerade Parade – Lungomare
- Fireworks display at the end of the Parade – Piazza Mazzini

2nd Masquerade Parade Sunday 16 February 2025 – 3 pm.
The allegorical constructions of the 2025 Carnival are back as protagonists. On the Viali a Mare there is a great show of music, art, creativity, allegory and satire.
After the Masquerade Parade the party continues in Piazza Mazzini m2o Night the event created in collaboration with radio m2o partner of the Viareggio Carnival. The protagonists of the musical event are DJs Albertino and Fargetta.

3rd NIGHT Masquerade Parade Saturday 22 February 2025 – 5 pm;
The magic of the Night Parade is undoubtedly extraordinary. Floats and masquerades parade under the spotlights for a unique suggestion.

4th Night Masquerade Parade Thursday 27 February 2025 – 6 pm;
The day of Fat Thursday is celebrated in Viareggio with a new parade of allegorical works that return to be admired by the general public under the effect of the lights for a new night Parade.

5th Masquerade Parade Sunday 2 March 2025 – 3 pm;
Color, joy, music and entertainment with the largest allegorical constructions in the world that return to the Viali a Mare to amaze the public.

6th Closing Masquerade Parade Tuesday 4 March 2025 – 3 pm; At the end, reading of the jury's verdicts and pyromusical show.
It is the longest day of Carnival. The traditional Mardi Gras parade, in this edition, culminates with the Closing Parade that concludes the 2025 Carnival celebrations. At the end of the Masked Parade, the Jury's verdicts on the competing works will be read and the fireworks display will bid farewell to the next edition.
