Beschreibung:
Seafront to read: the festival dedicated to literature and storytelling scheduled from 22 to 25 June in Marina di Massa.
The main location is Villa Cuturi, while the meetings to approach reading will take place on the Pontile and in Piazza Pellerano and this year will be dedicated to the theme of the "sea".
Artistic director of the event is Marco Vichi, Italian writer author of short stories, plays and novels, including those of the successful series of Commissioner Bordelli.
The event, in its second edition, will see the participation of writers of the caliber of Giancarlo De Cataldo, Leonardo Gori, Carlo Lucarelli, Diego De Silva who will speak during the "meetings with the author" scheduled at 9.15 pm at Villa Cuturi in the four festival evenings. Together with them also two established writers who have recently published their first novel: Alberta Riccardi and Luca Scarlini.
The central evening of Saturday 24 June will see a special meeting: Marco Vichi and Sandra Petrignani will interpret an imaginary interview with the writer Alba de Céspedes, a protagonist of literature, poetry and Italy of the twentieth century, at the same time author, intellectual, mother and partisan. An invitation to rediscover and re-read her tenacious and passionate pages.
The evening will continue with a musical space, like the readings, also dedicated to the theme of the sea: a tribute concert to Italian and South American songwriting with Armando Corsi, Ivano Fossati's historic guitarist (who boasts collaborations with numerous artists such as Paco De Lucia, Anna Oxa, Bruno Lauzi), accompanied by Gioacchino Costa.
Ample space will be reserved for the entertainment of the little ones, with the voluntary readers of "Nati per Leggere", "Nati per la Musica" and those of the Giampaoli Civic Library of Massa, in addition to the art workshops curated by the Diocesan Museum of Massa and the artist Enrica Pizzicori, which will take place at 18.00 in Piazza Pellerano from Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 June.
Also this edition will feature the LaAV association, Letture ad Alta Voce del Circolo di Massa, which will be involved in the "readings on the pier": four appointments, scheduled at 19.00 on each day of the festival, to listen to engaging pages of Italian literature and Anglo-American with a sea background or theme.
On Friday 23 June at 20.00, during an aperitif offered to the public, the first and second grade secondary school children of the municipal area will be the protagonists, winners of the free-themed literary competition "Free to write", divided into the categories: Iuniores (middle) , Minores (upper two years), Maiores (upper three years). During the meeting the students will be able to introduce themselves and talk about their writing experience.
Lungomare da legge is an event wanted and promoted by the Cassa di Risparmio di Carrara Foundation, organized under the patronage of the Municipality of Massa, the Province of Massa Carrara and the Tuscany Region and with the co-participation of the North West Tuscany Chamber of Commerce.
Sponsors of this edition: Chean Srl, Federalberghi Costa Apuana and acqua Fonteviva.
