Excursions on Lake Massaciuccoli on San Lorenzo nights In every natural environment there are areas not disturbed by artificial lights where people can rediscover the integrity of the sky with its thousands of stars.
The Migliarino - San Rossore - Massaciuccoli Regional Park has been a member of the "Parks of the Stars" project since 1996, which promotes the observation of the celestial vault in natural areas to raise public awareness on the theme of light pollution and energy saving .
As part of this initiative, the Oasis Lipu Massaciuccoli, in collaboration with the Park, organizes for
Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 August
the XXV edition of the festival "il Parco delle Stelle",
in the evocative natural scenery of Lake Massaciuccoli.
Program
9.00 pm
- Night-time twilight walking tour in the Chiarone Nature Reserve, organized by Lipu environmental guides and amateur astronomers from the AstroVersilia group, up to the exotic garden of the period residence of Villa Ginori, in "La Piaggetta".
During the walk it will be possible to attend the live concert of "Falasco Swing", a violin and accordion jazz duo who will perform from a floating platform on the water.
11.00 p.m.
- Boat excursion on the lake to observe the shooting stars and explore the sky.
11.45 pm
- Return to the Port of Massaciuccoli and continuation of the guided observations of the sky.
Upon request, it is possible to book a dinner based on local and typical products of the Park at the Le Rotonde Restaurant, a short distance from the Lipu headquarters.
In order to be able to carry out the event safely, the maximum number of participants per evening will be 50 people and it will take place in compliance with current anti-contagion security measures.
