Description:
Monday 24th August 2020
at 9pm,
at the Europa Gallery on the Europa 41 seafront in Lido di Camaiore (Lu),
the “#ingressolibero” painting exhibition opens.
On display works by Daniela Caciagli, Riccardo Corti, Guido Morelli, Armando Orfeo, Riccardo Ruberti and Valente Taddei:
this collective focuses its gaze on the recent production of six artists, from Tuscany and Liguria, in a kaleidoscopic ensemble that offers an interesting insight into contemporary figurative painting.
In her acrylic paintings, Daniela Caciagli (Bibbona, 1962) portrays everyday scenes populated by enigmatic figures, devoid of somatic features in their faces: her works seem to stimulate reflections on the inscrutable destiny that distinguishes every human being.
Riccardo Corti (Florence, 1952) infuses sea moods with the elegiac maritime pines of his oils: the artist creates an evocative setting, in the context of a rarefied painting, much more of the image than of the material.
Guido Morelli (La Spezia, 1967) represents, in his oils, landscapes that have nothing to do with the contamination of reality, trying to capture, through the study of color and brightness, the deepest essence of nature.
In Armando Orfeo's acrylic and oil paintings (Marina di Grosseto, 1964), a bizarre character moves, restless and curious, among numerous symbolic objects and daring architectures.
Orpheus carries out a dreamlike investigation into the condition of the human being, with its myths and frailties. In his tempera and oil on canvas paintings, Riccardo Ruberti (Livorno, 1981) develops the theme of travel in a personal way: space and time seem frozen in a visionary dimension, in which the leitmotif is the relationship between sky and sea.
Valente Taddei (Viareggio, 1964) creates oil and ink paintings with a narrative slant in which a tiny individual experiences singular adventures, in situations constantly poised between irony and paradox.
The exhibition, sponsored by the Municipality of Camaiore,
is organized by the Mercurio Arte Contemporanea gallery in Viareggio.
It will remain open until Wednesday 9 September 2020,
every day from 9 pm to 11.30 pm.
