FrancigenAmica returns to Camaiore with the 9th edition
Sunday 22nd September the event for families, athletes and dog friends returns, created to rediscover
the Via Francigena and the Camaiore Antiqua routes. New for 2024: medal for all those registered!
Plus: Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th September 1st FrancigenAmica Bike
After the success of the last editions, on Sunday 22nd September in the Municipality of Camaiore
FrancigenAmica returns, the one-of-a-kind event created in 2016 to rediscover the Camaiore stretch of the Via
Francigena and the Camaiore Antiqua routes between nature, outdoor activities and fun.
The 9th edition will be developed on three panoramic routes of 5, 12 and 22 km in a ring, with departure and arrival
in the Historic Center of Camaiore in Piazza XXIX Maggio: here the FrancigenAmica Village will be set up
with Info Point, partner stands and tastings of local products.
Also this year thousands of pilgrims from all over Italy are expected in Tuscany to immerse themselves in this real
adventure to discover the historic places immersed in the greenery of the Municipality of Camaiore.
New for 2024: all participants upon returning to the Village (in Piazza XXIX Maggio) will receive the beautiful
wooden medal that promotes Camaiore and the Via Francigena.
Fun also for the little ones with many surprises on the renewed short route (dedicated to the memory of
Emma and Leo), which will be animated by characters and interactive activities. The event will be open as per tradition
also to four-legged friends, who will be able to walk along the routes together with their owners.
FranciDog members will be able to access the activities proposed by the experts of the Friendly
Dog dog association.
Registrations will be open until Friday 20 September online on the portal www.francigenamica.com or
at the direct registration points (list available on the website).

From 7.00 Village opening
8.00: muscle warm-up for pilgrims on the long route
8.30: departure FranciWalk & FranciDog long route
9.30: muscle warm-up for pilgrims on the medium route
10.00: departure FranciWalk & FranciDog medium route
11.00: departure FranciWalk & FranciDog short route
In case of severe weather the event will be postponed to Sunday 6 October.
